Mini Lemon Doughnuts

When I was younger my mom would frequently make lemon bars, but the tart taste and gel-like texture never appealed to me. Since then I have rarely sampled or baked lemon flavored desserts, regardless of how delicious they may appear. Perhaps it was because it contained the word doughnut, but when I came across this recipe, it prompted me to give lemon infused sweets another wholehearted try. The taste hinted at more sugar than bitterness, and it may have just converted me to lemon confections forever.
These look SO yummy. I love everything with lemon (in case you couldn’t tell by my blog name and graphics), adding this to my list of recipes to try!

They look good and it looks like they turned out well. Were they easy? I’m kind of a idiot when it comes to making certain things from scratch. I went ahead and bookmarked the recipe though!

They were simple! I used a mini doughnut pan so they were just as easy as making cupcakes ;)
I love citrus desserts! These donuts look delicious. I like how you left out the poppy seeds!
I forgot to mention that! Yeah I don’t care for poppy seeds so I did without them :)

My oldest has been asking me if we could make some doughnuts, so I think we’ll def. have to try this recipe. I’m the same way with lemon anything..I hate the tart, but since this is more sweet than tart, i’ll give it a try =) Thx for sharing Kristin!
